Chicken Cordon Bleu


This was a tasty meal, and my first attempt at making Chicken Cordon Bleu.  It is relatively simple to make, with plenty or recipes available.  I used fresh chicken, and freshly smoked ham from my local butcher; and made a fresh cream of chicken sauce to go on it.  Many recipes call for you to slice open the chicken breast, and place the ham inside with cheese.  I opted to flatten the chicken, and roll the ham and cheese into it.  This dish is normally breaded, but I skipped that step in an attempt to reduce the carbs.  For this meal, I had it with a side of sauteed vegetables.
